A reading is optional.

A reading is simply some words or thoughts about Marriage that you want in your ceremony.  We include the reading in the “Opening Comments. You can also have a friend or family member do a reading. It's a great way to involve more people in the Ceremony.

By suggesting a reading it gives us an idea of your tastes so we can build our "Opening Comments" around that thought or theme. If you find a reading from another source we request the right to edit it in order to make it our own and more personal.

The reading should be only a minute or two in length.

A paragraph or two.  Something simple, is usually the most profound.
